Edinburgh Military Tattoo is renowned as one of the world's most spectacular events. Taking place against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle - the city's most famous landmark - the sights and sounds of the Tattoo stays long in the memory of those who have witnessed it.

Not only is our Homecoming year when we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of our national bard Robert Burns - it's also the 60th anniversary of the Tattoo. It has now been revealved that firm audience favourites, the (now not-so-secret) Top Secret Drum Corps from the Swiss city of Basel will, by popular demand, make a welcome return to the Scottish Capital for 2009's 60th Edinburgh Tattoo (7-29 August) and its three-week season on the floodlit Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle.
